Luss Church Wedding - Solsgirth House Wedding - Julia and James

Luss Church - Solsgirth House Wedding

Yes, you are reading that correctly, Julia and James Luss Church wedding with the reception held at Solsgirth House. Anyone who knows both venues will realise that there is about an hour and a half drive between both locations. However, on this day, due to spectacular planning by the bride and groom it made very little difference to the day at all and was one of the smoothest running weddings ever.

Julia had elected to get ready in a beautiful farmhouse just outside Luss village. In this stunning apartment we got some cracking shots of the girls before making our way to Luss church. After a lovely ceremony we took Julia and James down to beach at Loch Lomond for some amazing sunlit pictures before making our way over to Solsgirth House by Dollar.

This was my first Solsgirth House wedding and what a lovely venue it is too. Lovely grounds and some really interesting nooks and crannies for the couple to get some really cool pictures taken in. Really when you add this to Luss I was spoiled for choice. The sepia shot in the bottom row there was a person fav, one of my shots of the year. Above everything else the day flew by simply because the couple themselves were great company. Julia and James had a host of photographers they could have chosen and I am exceptionally grateful they chose me. It was a fantastic day.

Wedding at The Cruin, Loch Lomond - Victoria & Gordon

Wedding at The Cruin Loch Lomond

Still a Loch Lomond wedding but this time a wedding at The Cruin Loch Lomond with Victoria and Gordon. I am really lucky in my job that there are so many nice couples with whom I actually enjoy their company and Victoria and Gordon fall into that category. Starting off at the lovely Auchenheglish lodges we then made our way again to Luss Church before making our way to The Cruin. Despite visiting the same church twice in the space of 2 days we ended up with a completely different set of shots than that of Kirsty and Thomas!

Then it was onto The Cruin and one of the funniest moments of 2012 as we risked life and limb on the somewhat choppy waters of Loch Lomond to get onto the small pier at the Cruin, for those iconic shots of the couple on Loch Lomond. Honestly, the bridesmaids face setting foot onto the pier ........ Anyway. I am delighted to report that on delivery of Victoria and Gordons wedding album they gave me news of another delivery on the way soon. Our heartiest congratulations to them both, we are genuinely delighted for them!!

Cameron House Wedding - Emma & John

Cameron House Wedding

Back to my favourite venues -Luss Church to Cameron House.

Rather than me rattle on about what a nice wedding this was why don't I leave it to the couple themselves?
Hey Stuart,

It’s been a while since we spoke, so just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you for the fantastic photos taken at our wedding. Massively impressed with the quality of them and some of them in particular (the window reflection/some on the pier/speeches/inside cam house) are exceptional.  We’ll be recommending you to all our friends and family as the experience was made a whole lot better having you and Gillian there as part of the day. Just fantastic.   Cheers for a great day and hopefully we’ll see you and Gillian again on our trips to Loch Lomond and the West coast.

John

(p.s. I noticed you edited Gillian’s arm out of the Luss pier shot holding Emma’s veil – clever stuff! Haha)

We absolutely love them and have spent all weekend showing our friends and family who also think they are fab! We can't get enough of the photos and the DVD was a nice surprise, we've watched it several times and the music selected really matches our taste. We'd like to thank you very much for your hard work as the photos have far exceeded our expectations, they are truly wonderful and once we finalise our album know that it will be something we treasure for the rest of our lives.

Thank You,  Emma

A great day. Even complete with a squad of (very polite) Japanese tourists who all got their own pictures of Emma and John on Luss Pier. Brilliant!!!

Cameron House Wedding, Luss Church - Kate & Paul

We had brilliant day shooting Kate and Paul's wedding at Cameron House.

We started off with Kate at Cameron House just as she was putting her finishing touches together, before catching some shots of the lads at Luss Church. After the typically excellent service at Luss we took Kate and Paul on a short walk down to the jetty before heading onto Luss Peir. As usual Luss Peir was absolutley mobbed which would not have looked so good for the pictures, but for photoshop......................

We then headed back to Cameron House for our bridal party shots. Kate and Paul were a lovely couple and they had a really nice bunch of guests at the wedding including Dale, the best man, who somehow or other managed to get, sort of run, over by the wedding car (nothing serious, just a tyre mark left on his sock....) It was only after the wedding that I discovered than Paul was quite and accomplished photographer himself. He has even had one of his wedding feature in Hello ! Apparently he was under instruction from Kate not to let me know....and to be honest I think I am glad I didn't know.

The fact that Paul and Kate are delighted with their pictures and even chose me in the first place given Pauls credentials is a huge compliment. Thank you both for choosing 1500 Photography

Cameron House Wedding - Andrew & Elspeth

First big wedding of the year and we certainly started with some style.

Andy and Elspeth tied the knot at Luss Church before receiving their guests at Cameron House. We managed to catch up with the couple at Cameron House as they were getting ready before they headed for the church. As you can see Andy made his way to the church by speedboat. You may also notice Andy is painfully shy……..

Elspeth on the other hand looked absolutely gorgeous with a very stylish dress and (warm) stole.

With two lovely families and a great sense of fun throughout the day we managed to capture some brilliant shots, the perfect way to launch the 2009 campaign. Complete with a belting first waltz, you could say I had ‘the time of my life’ at their wedding.

Donna and Thomas

Ah ! Back to lovely Luss again. And in the sunshine too ! A beautiful day with a great couple. We took most of our pictures in and around Luss with a whole set on the pier. I love the shots of them at the shop !!

We finished the day at The Cruin Hotel just further up the Loch.
