Cameron House Wedding - Geoff and Joanne

Cameron House Wedding with Joanne and Geoff

Another wonderfully intimate Cameron House wedding on the shores of Loch Lomond. Joanne and Geoff were our joint smallest wedding party of the year with just them and  two witnesses there for their big day. Once again another bride with a stunning dress. Simple yet elegant it completely suited both Joanne and the day. We even got some sunshine ! I am so please that the sun came out for the couple and their witnesses who had come over to Scotland from Ireland.

The shot of the couple standing under the tree as the sun streams through has proved to be a big hit. So much so that Cameron House have used it as the offcial image to promote their weddings in the Scottish Wedding Directory and for the upcoming Cameron House Wedding Show. For me its a wedding which makes me smile everytime I think about it

Brig O'Doon Wedding - Jenny and Martin

Brig O'Doon Wedding

A lovely Brig O'Doon wedding next for Jenny and Martin. Once again the weather didnt play ball with us but Jenny patience meant that working indoors for most of the day still gave us some incredible pictures. Meeting both Jenny and Martin at Brig O'Doon about 8 weeks before the wedding we knew we had a plan of action in case the weather wasnt with us on the day.

I am so glad we did as after the ceremony we seamlessly moved onto Plan B. Jenny was just lovely to photograph and Martin was in great form as the couple really worked hard with me to capture some cracking images. A beautiful day with a beautiful bride - and what a dress!

Big Shindig Ball 2013

We were delighted and proud to once again lend our weight to this fantastic event.

The Big Shindig Ball is an evening of entertainment and fun in aid of The Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres held in memory of Lisa Morrsion. This years event took place at the Winnick Hotel in Drymen and was a huge success raising over £8000 on the night. Organised by Elizabeth Emmerson of Maggies and compared by Gary (Mrs Browns Boys) Hollywood it was a great night providing lots of laughs but all in a great cause. Many congratulations to all involved who gave up their time. Its admirable to see so many talents come together like this.

29 Royal Exchange Square Wedding - Julie & Duncan

29 Royal Exchange Square Wedding

A super stylish 29 Royal Exchange Square Wedding, right in the heart of Glasgow. It couldnt have been a more appropriate venue for Julie and Duncan's wedding. Julie oozes style and Duncan looked immaculate in a grey kilt. The two of them looked exactly at home at 29 Royal Exchange. We started the day at the brides home catching Julies finishing touches, then it was onto St Columba's church on St Vincent St where the ceremony was performed by a friend of the couple. One of my favourite shots from the day is Julie and Duncan coming through the square, through the shoppers and diners to get to No 29

Again though, as has been the story of the summer we didn't quite have the weather on our side, so it was indoors for the majority of the pictures. Thankfully 29 has so many nice areas inside that we didn't miss the outdoors at all. Wrapping up our part of the day by covering the speeches it was a great day to be a part of. One of those weddings you occasionally go to and wish you had been a guest and taken in the day with a drink in hand.......

A fabulous wedding giving us some terrific pictures right in the heart of Glasgow.

Boturich Castle Wedding - Alan and Victoria

Boturich Castle Wedding - Alan and Victoria

This brilliant Boturich Castle Wedding with Alan and Victoria is one of my favourite weddings of the year. It was pretty pretty much 99% of the way I think the perfect wedding should be held. Victoria and Alan had brought their guests up from the Yorkshire area for a wedding boasting the best possible views of Loch Lomond.
In typical Scottish fashion though this gorgeous part of the world decided to show off and give the guests all four season in one afternoon!!

The beauty of a wedding at Boturich Castle (and I obviously don't recommend this for all weddings) was that Victoria could 'sit out' the incoming rain and get married when it dried up again. Originally due to get married at 1pm a passing rain storm meant that we sat it out and the ceremony took place at nearly 2pm! It also helps that the registrar, the piper (the legendary Colin Lawrie) , myself and Boturich were totally flexible and just wanted the best for the couple.

After the rain had passed Vitoria and Alan enjoyed a beautiful sunny outdoor ceremony before mingling with their guests and then a relaxing photoshoot giving me some absolutely stunning images.

All in all a brilliant day !

A tribute not just to the couple but also to the professional team they had entrusted their day to.

Cameron House Wedding - Marianne and John

Cameron House Wedding - Marianne and John

Back to our Loch Lomond stamping ground for a magnificent Cameron House wedding with John and Marianne. A beautiful intimate wedding with only closest friends and family on the shores of the Loch. Marianne and John had come up from Cheshire to be married at Cameron House, a sort of home coming for Scottish bride Marianne, now residing in England.

One particular highlight of the wedding was Mariannes firebrand grandmother dishing out some rather blunt advice to John the groom 'Its not all plain sailing now' he was told.

I think Marianne had one of my favoutire dresses of the year. I think she looked absolutely wonderful and it was nice to see John, the groom, slightly more relaxed looking in a smart suit. A nice change especially for a wedding in Scotland.
