Kelburn Park Wedding - Derek & Naomi

Kelburn Park provided the backdrop for this wedding with everything taking place outside.

Naomi & Derek took the brave decision (for Scotland) to host their ceremony in the grounds of this beautifully maintained garden, down by Largs.  We also managed to get both parties preparing for the wedding, with Derek leaving from his folks house and Naomi leaving from a guest house in the town. This allowed us to get some cracking shots before the wedding had even taken place. Once things did get going we had a fantastic time and we were extremely lucky with the weather - only suffering a mild spit of rain all day.  As you can see Naomi looked stunning and Kelburn Park did us proud.

Again with this wedding our final details meeting took place at Kelburn Park. This meant that we could fully explore the area beforehand and work out which parts of the park would be suitable for photography and which areas we could use if the weather went against us. This is something we do at 1500 Photography as a matter of course. I only mention it as many studio's do not take this meticulous approach to their weddings. It also gave us a chance to coordinate our plans with Maggie at Kelburn and have a timetable ready for the (excellent) car company - Ashton wedding cars.

I must say I am really pleased with many of the shots from this wedding and I am extremely grateful that Naomi and Derek chose me to photograph their wedding. They are a great couple who gave me loads of time on the day and who were really 'into' the photography on the day, nothing was too much bother and they were great fun the be with. Superb.

Thank you both. The memory of a couple walking down the isle to the strains of 'Home and Away' will stay with me for a long time.
