St Andrews Cathedral Glassgow to Lodge on Loch Lomond - Hazel & Chris

What a wonderful scorching day we had for Hazel and Chris's wedding at St Andrews Cathedral in Glasgow. With the couple both getting ready at the Grand Central and having their reception at Lodge on the Loch, we were spoiled for choice when it came to photo opportunities.

Hazel looked absolutely beautiful, Chris looked very dapper and St Andrews looked truly awesome.

As you can imagine the stunning weather meant that Loch Lomond was absolutely heaving. However once we got back to the Lodge and some welcome shade Chris and Hazel worked with me to produce some simply lovely images. Its funny writing up this blog in July when have been suffering through one of the worst summers I can remember. It makes me look back with even more fondness to Hazels wedding.

Lodge on the Loch Wedding - Jennifer and Martin (Jennie and Macca)

Lodge on the Loch Wedding

Scheduled to be our last wedding of 2011, Jennie and Macca's Lodge on the Loch wedding was going to be something special. Not just because it was the last one but also because the couple themselves are a great laugh and were really looking forward to getting their pictures taken. We started off with Jennie getting ready at the Lodge on the Loch before making our way down to beautiful Luss Church for the ceremony.

It had been raining pretty hard the week of the wedding and I have to say that this was the highest I had ever seen Loch Lomond at Luss. There was very little between the pier and the water, as you can see below.

Jennie and Macca were superb out in the chilly December air and gave us some lovely shots, then it was back to the Lodge for a full group of everyone and then dinner and speeches. I must say - the speeches were absolutely fantastic, what a great laugh was had (mostly at Macca's expense) before the dancing began.

I should mention that the band on the night were the superb 'The Jiggers' and boy did they have their work cut out for them. Getting a room full of English people through a ceilidh is always a spectacle!!  Brilliant day, top couple and some of the best evenings entertainment I have seen for a while. Thank you Jennie and Macca.
