Mar Hall Wedding
Rita and Ian's Mar Hall wedding was a fantastic 'surprise' for 1500 Photography. Ian, the groom, managed to organise the wedding within the space of about 6 weeks. Bankie (Clydebank) boy Ian met Rita in China where they both work. However Ian decided it was back home to Scotland when they tied the knot. The wedding was almost like a street party with all the guests living in the same street that Ian had grown up in and where his mother still lives. That sense of community like a family is something that doesn't really exist anymore and it was amazing to witness how close everyone was.
As you can see Rita looked absolutely amazing and was an absolute pleasure to photograph despite not speaking very much English. The couple made their vows in chinese and when Rita slipped the expression "wee scunner" into the vows it nearly brought the house down. A terrific couple who were great fun to shoot. The most exotic Clydebank wedding I have ever shot !! More about Mar Hall weddings
