Back to one of my favorite haunts for Michelle and James's wedding at Boturich Castle.
With a brilliant sunny day, a stunning venue, a handsome couple and Rev Ian Miller officiating there wasnt much else we could have asked for. Rev Miller was in sparkling form and really brought the ceremony to life. As with many couples today, Michelle and James had a special guest at the wedding - daughter Sophie. So it was very important to make sure she was included in as many pictures as possible.
We actually planned out the pictures to allow us a 20 minute break during which time we could shoot a quick family portrait of the couple with little Sophie. It worked a treat and we got some beautiful shots of the 3 of them together. As you can see from above the shots of the couple with the wonderful backdrop turned out ok too!
I was really impressed again with Boturich. Its a simply splendid venue which offers unparalleled views of Loch Lomond and always lends itself to a really relaxed laid back day. Laura and Ruairidh (the owners) really have weddings here down to a tee and you can be assured of a brilliant day with these guys in charge.

Grand Central Hotel Wedding - Donald & Fiona
Grand Central Hotel Wedding
Fiona and Donald's Grand Central Hotel wedding was a little bit nerve wracking for me but not for the most obvious of reasons. You see Fiona had worked at the Venture studios in Glasgow for a while and Fiona's brother, Kevin, is one of the best portrait photographers I know. His work is excellent. So I know I was going to have to be on top of my game to impress them.
We started off at Fiona's parents house to catch the finishing touches before making our way to St Peters in Partick for the ceremony and then onto the magnificent Grand Central Hotel. Once there we utilized all the grandeur and style that this wonderful venue provides. It really is an amazing building.
It was good to see a few friendly faces at Grand Central including function manager James who I know from his Cameron House days. I cannot wait to get back to this venue and see what else we can come up with.
I am delighted to report now that Donald & Fiona (and Kevin the photographer) have seen the pictures that everyone is delighted...... so am I !
