Lisa and Mark - Alexandria Parish Church to Kilted Skirlie

Massive congratulations to Lisa and Mark who got married at Alexandria Parish Church in the Spring. A lovely intimate wedding with a very informal family feel. Despite the smaller nature of the wedding it was  a very big deal to me - this was the first wedding I had ever shot with my Mum and Dad in attendance as guests !!!

I am glad to report however that all went very well. Lisa and Mark received their guests back at the Kilted Skirlie in Balloch where a lovely meal was provided for the guests. Congratulations to you both from 1500 Photography

Western House Wedding - Catherine & Alan

Western House Wedding

Catherine and Alan's Western House wedding in Ayr was an absolutely fantastic wedding day.

The couple were actually guests at Amanda & Stewarts wedding at House for an Art Lover last year, so they were already well versed in my awful patter and poor jokes. Despite that however, they still wanted me to shoot their wedding! And I am really glad they did. We started at Catherine's house for the bridal preparation shots in Paisley before zooming down to Ayr and the fabulous Western House.

Despite a small hiccup with an over excited flower girl on the way down the road the couple completely took the day in their stride. It was a lovely wedding with a lovely bridal party who were all relaxed and friendly and willing to get involved on the pictures. Catherine looked absolutely beautiful and Alan even scrubbed up not too badly either.

Add that to a stunning venue and you have all the right ingredients for a great set of pictures. Another top 1500 couple !

Cameron House Wedding - Alison & Stuart

Cameron House Wedding

Another Cameron House Wedding another cracking couple, this time Stuart and Alison.

The couple had come up from Staffordshire to get married on the 'Bonnie Banks', although this wasn't their first visit to Cameron House. Loch Lomond is a regular haunt for both of them, so when they decided to tie the knot, Scotland was the obvious choice. I really enjoy the company of Stuart, who shares my love of awful puns and terrible jokes, and Alison who actually knows more about football then me and Stuart combined......even though she is a Wolves fan.

The day itself was a lovely relaxed wedding. After a civil ceremony the couple had set aside plenty time to allow them to have a mingle and a chat with guests, then some pictures, then some more time with friends. High teas were served while the photographs were taken and when we had finished, dinner was served in the newly converted drawing room in Cameron House. Alison and Stuart, although reticent about getting their pictures taken, were absolutely lovely to work with and we came away with a beautiful set of pictures. This is the kind of chilled out vibe all weddings should aim for ...........

Paisley Abbey Wedding - Lynsey & Robert

Paisley Abbey Wedding

Weddings at Paisley Abbey are always a little bit special and Lynsey and Roberts wedding was no exception.

As you would expect from 1500 Photography, we started the day at Lynsey's parents' house in Uplawmoor before making our way into Paisley. The Abbey itself is always an impressive sight but in addition to the wonderful surroundings Lynsey's dad, Ewan a musician himself had arranged for choristers to attend the ceremony too. The overall result was spine tingling!

After the ceremony we popped back inside the Abbey for a few pictures, then into the cloisters before making our way up to Barrhead and the Dalmeny Park Hotel. It was, as you can see, an absolutely cracking day. I love the shot of the young couple striding out of the Abbey and I promise that the blue sky isn't photoshopped, it's real.

Lynsey and Robert are such a lovely couple who were such a pleasure to work with. Lynsey looked absolutely beautiful and was ably assisted by SIX bridesmaids. Robert looked very smart in his suit and yellow and black stripey socks!

It was a great day, which hardly felt like work at all. Both families made the day very easy for us and with such a great couple, good weather and stunning locations - you can't really go wrong.
