Burnhouse Manor Wedding - Lisa and William

Burnhouse Manor Wedding

This was my first Burnhouse Manor wedding for a few years. I was delighted to be back to shoot Lisa and William's wedding on a breezy August afternoon. We started the day at Lisa's mum's house which was just around the corner from where the boys were getting ready. This let us catch the madness at both locations !!

Then it was onto St Convals before heading down to Burnhouse Manor. Once there we took 10 minutes out from the day in the bridal suit and photographed Lisa and William with their young 3 kids. This guaranteed that we got great family pictures during the wedding but without any of the stress and hassle of trying to arrange the kids during the formal shots. After that the kids could go play and the couple didn't have to worry about getting them in the pictures any more. Lisa looked absolutely beautiful and William was (obviously) a great laugh keeping Lisa amused in all the pictures.

A great day and a really lovely couple.

Bothwell Castle Wedding - Amie & Ryan

Bothwell Castle Wedding

Amie and Ryan are another one of those couple who you 'click' with the minute you meet them.

I was delighted the shoot their wedding at Bothwell Castle despite the fact that we didn't have the weather on our side.

We started off at Amie's folks house in Strathaven before making our way to the castle. There was very little let up in the rain but for a 20 minute spell from Amie arriving until the couple walked down the isle again.

A lucky break and no more than this top couple deserved. We managed to get quite a few shots under cover of umbrella and sheltered by castle wall before we had to concede defeat and head back to the Strathaven Hotel. Once there we shot the rest of our groups and one or two of those 'special' 1500 shots which lead us to design a perfect album for Ryan and Amie.

As a footnote our spooky Strahaven baby story continues with Amie and Ryan coming home from honeymoon with a baby on the way. That makes 3 out of 3 ......... There must be something in the water down there!!

Paisley Wedding Photography - Lesley and Gregg

Its always nice to be asked to shoot a wedding for a friend, especially when that friend is also a photographer.Brian of Paisley Photography had the honour of escorting his sister down the isle and wanted me to capture the day.

Lesley and Gregg tied the knot as Paisley registry office before we headed to Barshaw Park in Paisley for the pictures. It was a lovely day and it was really nice to meet such a down to earth family who were not only a great laugh but also so easy to photograph. Lesley and Gregg were superb to work with and we produced a really nice and relaxed set of pictures despite the couples reservations about getting their pictures taken. 1500 Photography
