Wedding at Doonbrea House, Ayrshire - Yvette and James

What a fantastic venue for a wedding, Doonbrea House (tucked in beside Brig O'Doon) is.

When I met James and Yvette, at Doonbrea, to finalise our plans for the wedding I was taken aback by how lovely this hidden gem was. In fact - I never even knew about its existence even though its beside one of the busiest venues in Scotland!!

Yvette had planned  (to me) the perfect wedding day. An intimate gathering of friends and close family, married outdoors in glorious sunshine, drinks on the lawn as a 'Parisian' style accordionist played, mingling with friends, a few formal shots before a relaxed dinner in the marquee....... First class!

Yvette and James were absolutely fantastic on the day and couldn't have been easier to photograph. With Jane from Brig O'Doon keeping an eye on the proceedings and the guests all so amiable it was a terrific day that will stay with me for a while. 1500 Photography

Wedding at Cameron House - Victoria & Darren

Victoria and Darren are just one of those couple who you meet and feel like you've known for ages.

They are a fantastic couple who compliment each other really well, making their wedding at Cameron House an absolute joy from start to finish.  With amazing 'confidence'(?) Cameron House had put the couple next door to each other the night before the wedding. Can you imagine? Knowing that the person you will be marrying the very next day is through the wall to you?

On the bright side this made it easy for us to flit between rooms to catch all the preparations.  Cool, smooth, calm and controlled in the girls room - utter chaos in the boys room.

After a lovely humanist ceremony we made out way outside to shoot in and around the sumptuous grounds of this 5 star venue, unfortunately our session was cut short by the incoming downpour which began just as we headed back inside the hotel. Victoria looked absolutely beautiful with both the brides and bridemaids dresses amongst the best we have ever seen.

Then things really got going as Victoria had arranged for the Clanidonia tribal Scottish group to entertain the guests before dinner. During the speeches it was mentioned that facebook had played a part in bringing Victoria and Darren together - the power of social media eh?

A great day, fantastic venue and brilliant couple. The perfect 1500 Photography wedding.

Lodge on Loch Goil Wedding - Caroline & Kevin

What an amazing day. What an amazing venue. Caroline and Kevin had chosen to have their wedding at the Lodge on Loch Goil and what a fantastic choice they made.

The Lodge is a real hidden gem set on the banks of Loch Goil and with Kevin and Caroline making a stunning couple the day was a photographers dream.

The ceremony was held on the shores of the loch after which we took pictures at the boat house, on the viewing deck and in the treehouse.  Spoiled for choice!!!

A brilliant day with a lovely couple. 1500 Photography

Wedding at Cameron House, Andrew & Christine

We had a fantastic day shooting Andrew and Christines wedding at Cameron House.

We started the day at Christines parents house before making our way to the New Kilpatrick Parish church in Bearsden. Andrew and Christine had come ‘home’ from Autralia for their wedding and had made all their arrangements via late night phone calls and email. With Christines mum helping the organisation though, everything went as smoothly as possible.

As usual Cameron House provided a stunning backdrop and great service on the day.

A really lovely couple, who were an absolute delight to photograph. A perfect wedding.
