Potraits at Home - Paisley, Dunbartonshire,Glasgow and Hamilton

Next up was Andrew and Anya. Two wee smashers who we photographed in the comfort of their own home. Again having everything to hand in the house means we can catch the kids drawing and playing, then wellies on, playing in the rain then back inside for party dresses.  All trauma free and easy for you without the hassle of travelling back and forth to a studio.

With two such lovely little subject it would be hard to go wrong, but Andrew and Anya were fantastic fun. I think the kids enjoyed the sitting too and I know mum and dad were happy but the main objective of this sitting was to provide gifts for the grandparents.

We provide free online galleries to all out clients to help show off their images to friends and family.

Portraits at Pollock Park -

Its been a while since we posted any of our portrait work, so while we have the seasonal wedding lull...... Just before Christmas time a previous client and old friend found me through Bebo and asked me to come and shoot her kids.  Since we still had a little bit of decent weather and some colour on the trees I suggested Pollock Park. A great place to let kids run about and have their pictures taken.

It was lovely to catch up with the family and great to see the kids again. And although the images above are lovely and left my client very happy, my favourite shot of the day was this one.

Perhaps a little more sombre than usual for a kids portrait but I just love the look and feel of this shot.

A good example of why a slightly more 'reportage' approach to kids photography can often pay dividends. Remember we don't charge a sitting fee and you only pay for the pictures you order. That's how confident we are that you will love your pictures. To find out more bout our portrait prices contact us here

Lizzie and Dave - Blair Atholl pt 2

What a fantastic wedding.

I have never been at a wedding before with so much warmth and closeness. I guess the fact the most of the important roles on the day were taken by Lizzie and Dave's 8 kids helped.  Lizzie wore the most amazing dress supplied by Lindsay Fleming who  specialise in creating spectacular individual wedding dresses with Celtic and medieval influences. A really unique look.

The picture above is from the moment Lizzie and Dave 'jumped the besom' towards the end of the wedding ceremony. The ceremony was a traditional Highland Blessing conducted by Scot AnSgeulaiche the master of ceremonies who incorporated many aspects of traditional Scottish wedding customs - hand-fasting, storytelling and blessings.

With so many personal aspects on this wedding day it truly was a unique and memorable occasion for everyone. Including ourselves  - all the best to Lizie and Dave - 1500 Photography

Blair Atholl Wedding, Atholl Arms - Lizzie and Dave

Sometimes I should just let our clients do the talking  :

Oh Stuart, I cant put into words how they made me feel. They took us back to the moments so entirely we were there again, feeling all the love, hearing the laughter, seeing the smiles and tears, forgetting my lines! They are so wonderful they made me cry after the second the page. Even Dave was choked. I also couldn't believe how good we looked!! Considering we dont really like having our photos taken!

We had some guests round last night who had been to the wedding and they were blown away by the photos, they also said how nice you and Gillian were, how unobtrusive you were and how relaxed you made everyone feel, you fitted in so well. There are photos which I didnt know were being taken and some I was gratefully surprised by.  You captured one of the best days of our life, magically, forever, and have given it to us to relive everytime we open the book, or put on the dvd.

To say thank you is simply not good enough. We were so blessed to find you, not only are you and Gillian both such nice people you are extremely talented,  you are also intuitive to know that which would mean so much to us. Thank you so much.

Oran Mor Wedding & Laura & Stephen

Oran Mor Wedding – Laura & Stephen

Our first wedding of 2010 was Laura and Stephen who got married at St Johns-Renfrield church in Glasgow before receiving their guests at Oran Mor. It was during all the snow we had at the turn of the year which made things ‘interesting’ – not just for the pictures but general movement on the day was a little challenging too.

Laura looked absolutely stunning and the day ran beautifully. She had booked us after we shot her cousin Jacqueline’s wedding in summer 2008 and she was impressed with the job we did for her. It was also lovely to see Jacqueline and Jonathan again, as they had made the trip up north for the wedding.

After everything that Laura and Stephen had to deal with in the run up to their wedding I was so pleased for them that the day itself was perfect. A great day and a top couple.
