Gleddoch House Wedding Pictures - Lesley and Steve

Another cracking couple, and a pleasant return to Gleddoch House.

Steve and Lesley are a lovely couple based in London who returned to Lesley's neck of the woods to tie the knot.  As usual we started off at Lesley's parents house to catch the finishing touches of her preparations before making our way to St James in Renfrew (a church Ive passed many times but this was my first visit). After the ceremony we made our way to Gleddoch, making sure to stop at the top of the driveway to include some of the grand vista in the pictures.

Again meeting with the couple at the venue before the wedding paid major dividends allowing us the look at which areas we could use in good weather, bad weather and where we could shoot a full group of the entire wedding party. With Lesley and Stave both enthusiastic about their photography, they were a model couple and brilliant company, who couldn't have been nicer. They even asked us to stay on as guests for the evening !!

Movember - Tash Time at 1500 Photography

1500 Photography has been doing its bit for charity this November.

I have been growing a sponsored mustache for the  prostate cancer charity Movember. You may have seen a few sportsmen and commentators sporting some horrendous facial fuzz over the last few weeks. Im afraid to say that I joined there ranks after my last wedding.

Participants usually  start Movember (November 1st) clean shaven and then have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache. During Movember, each 'Mo Bro' effectively becomes a walking billboard for men’s health and, via their Mo, raises essential funds and awareness for Movember’s men’s health partner – The Prostate Cancer Charity. To read more or to sponsor me click here MOVEMBER.

There is no such thing as too small a donation - thanks

I kinda like it ........ and god knows its alot easier than running a 10k  !!

Brig O'Doon Wedding Photography - Karen and Gary

Back to weddings and back down to Ayrshire.

For the second time this year we were at Brig O'doon House Hotel in Alloway.

With all of Karen and Gary's wedding taking place at the hotel we knew we would still have great scope for pictures in the grounds. We just managed to get all the shots we needed on the bridge before the rain came on, we then ducked under the 'big tree' to finish off our groups.

Karen and Gary were great to work with on the day and, as usual, Jane at Brig O'Doon kept a tight reign on the proceedings to ensure the day ran smoothly. With a really nice mix of guests our job on the day was made really easy by both family's easy going nature. A lovely day.

Scottish Transport Awards 2009

We were also delighted to attended and photograph this years  Scottish Transport Awards. The awards are to recognise various bodies for their contribution to public transport. As always with such an occasion we arrived nice and early, captured the guests and dignitaries mingling before photographing the tables and award winners.

Master of Ceremonies Grant Stott kept the event running smoothly with a mixture of humour and professionalism and was a huge help to me organising the prize winners for their picture. As usual with 1500 Photography the pictures were ready 9 am the following morning for everyone to pour over.

We offer all the winners on the evening our congratulations and commiserate with the runners up. 1500 Photography

Arran Portrait - Portraits at Home

Then I was then honoured to be invited to Arran to capture Colin’s 70th birthday celebrations. Colin’s family had travelled from all over the world for this special occasion. After taking the boat over to the island, Emma very graciously came to collect me from the ferry. We then travelled through some ‘biblical’ rain to get to Colin’s village. Unfortunately we had hoped to take pictures in and around various Arran landmarks but the weather ruled that out, so we made do with indoors.

As luck would have it, just as we were wrapping up, the weather broke. We managed to get some shots outside on the village beach where the whole family grew up and got some cracking shots of Colin and Elizabeth looking out to sea.

A lovely family and a great occasion to be a part of.
