Famous for 4 Pages !
Have you got your copy of the latest issue of the Real Life Weddings magazine ?
1500 Photography is featured in Scotland's premier wedding magazine, with a four page spread on Peter and Amy's wedding from July last year.
A stunning day, cracking couple and fantastic venue.
Despite the bride running a wee bit late (ahem!) together we worked very hard with Lochside House to make up the time. However, we managed to achieve this without sacrificing any photography at all, and still captured some remarkable shots and have everyone seated for dinner in good time.
See the wedding feature here, click on current issue and got straight to page 70.
And yes, I really did iron the dress.

Dan and Natalie
Congratulations to Dan and Natalie who got married at Luss Church before moving on to receive their guests at the Duck Bay. In contrast to Paul and Louise below, we had a really bright fresh (ok - freezing!) Spring day. Of all things for a photographer to complain about - it was way too sunny !!
We had a great day photographing the wedding, mixing with the guests and having fun with Dan and Natalie. The shot on the right, taken of Luss pier, shows a rainbow sitting just on Loch Lomond.
Now, I cant guarantee this for all weddings, but I will see what I can do .......
Cameron House Wedding
It was also great to see the wedding officiated by Ian Miller, surely Scotlands most popular (and prolific?) minister. Ian was the minister at the very first wedding I shot, on a small boat, in the shallows, on Loch Lomond way back in 1990. That was a very small wedding too, and one which I remember with great fondness.
I bet I will still remember Stuart and Irene's wedding in 18 years time too.......
Awards time for 1500
Sunday saw the Scottish Master Photographer Awards ceremony for 2008. In a highly competitive field (over 900 images were submitted !!!) with many other great photographers, 1500 picked up a merit (bronze medal) for this image from Judith and Colin's wedding, from last October.
We gained this award in the Classic Wedding* category.
Although a little disappointed not to have won, we are still delighted with this result and have been inspired to make sure we win next year!

Paul and Louise - Strathaven Hotel
This couple were absolutely fantastic to work with and I wish them every happiness for their future.
They are no longer my clients.
They are now my friends.

A New Concept in Wedding Photography
Right now at 1500 we are ready to launch a new concept in wedding photography.
What makes this collection different?
- Superbly crafted albums of the highest quality without enormity of the traditional storybook album, beautifully presented.
- Stunning images from continuous coverage of your day.
- A completely bespoke ‘album lay out’ service. We offer you a ‘proposed layout’ with our ideas of how the images look good.
- You then come back to us to either - approve our design, fine tune our design to your tastes, or completely redesign the album as you see fit.
- And an unbelievable price.
New Album Collection on its way
- The 'storybook' look combined with a traditional wedding style album........
- High Gloss images yet completely flexible layout.........
- With every album unique to every wedding, no standard templates........
- And yet, available for under £900??.....
1500 Photography's new album packages will be released on the 1st March 2008.
Keep watching.
Shaping Up for a busy year
Well so far, with only two months of 2008 gone, it looks like being a great year for 1500 Photography. Not only has 2008 filled up nicely but 2009 is starting to look good too.
Our special offer on our "Storybook Style" package was an unqualified success with almost 90% of all bookings taking us up on this incredible offer. The details of the offer can still be viewed here and although the offer has expired....... well its only going to be between us.
I will keep it on, but only for 2008 brides who have seen the offer through this blog.
This is an example of some of our layouts used in the "£950 offer" package.

As for last year
The year for 1500 finished with a wedding on the 29th December at The Piping Centre, an absolutely cracking venue with exceptionally helpful staff.
Jo and John were amazingly lucky with the weather, which was more like a spring (albeit a chilly) afternoon. We got some great shots on the day with this one taken as the couple walked down Hope Street back towards their guests.
New Beginings
Over the coming year I will be posting up images from weddings that we have done, recommending suppliers and (for want of a better expression) spilling some gossip.
Please feel free to get in touch about anything. Whether you are looking for some advice or want to comment on any images.
Coming soon will be images from the Strathaven Hotel, Luss church, The Duck Bay Marina and The Cruin at Loch Lomond.
Keep an eye out for the updates
